Australia hits 80% of China beef quota — 100,000 tonnes to redirect
Australia's 2026 China beef safeguard quota is on track to fill by mid-June, triggering the 55% over-quota tariff and forcing redirection of an estimated 100,000 tonnes into Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the US in H2 2026.
